I checked the vod and it was completely fine from what I could tell! I repeated the unplugging and plugging back in the way I described and I did another test from another HDMI source and the close to 2 HR vod was again completely fine. After that I turned on the game and hit record and I let it sit there for about an hour and some mins. Note: I only use the HDMI IN port on the elgato due to having an HDMI splitter so I can view the game separately without depending on the elgato itself. I also unplugged the USB cable and HDMI cable from the elgato, let the elgato sit for a few seconds, and then plugged the HDMI cable in FIRST, and then the USB cable SECOND. So, I switched the USB port the elagto was plugged into for another 3.0 USB port. I noticed a semi common trend among elgato problems that were not relating to the card itself was the USB port, and how it's not supplying enough power to the elgato for it to function properly due to it being split between other USBs? (Again, I'm not 100% what all of that even means tbh so dont take this as some tech advice lol). Take all of this with a grain of salt, since I'm not sure if this is a permanent fix or what, again I don't know the root of the problem, but this is what I did. Some info I saw relating to other issues may have a possible 'solution' to this one. ALRIGHT SO! I did some tinkering around and a fruitless search for a solution to the issue we're all facing.
